BAKASANA [KRANICH / CRANE] & KAKASANA [KRÄHE / CROW]
i remember the first time i tried to find some balance on my palms, my arms for sure not really bent and my teacher called out: lower your butt to your heels! and again: lower your butt down! can you imagine a crow with a tail facing up into the sky?!?
this teacher became my later mentor for a while, but this is another story ;)
my teacher and currently mentor (no wonder) now irritated me with her instructions again: we practiced BAKASANA - most of us practice and teach it as crow - in her class, she introduced us to put ur knees right into our armpids, find balance in our hands and strighten the arms then. Most of us were irritated, me included and therefore i did some research - after years of practice.
And now you see my failures: 1) BAKASANA - CRANE - KRANICH stright arms, knees rigth into the armpids, pelvic floor activated, pelvis tucked in and navel pulls in and up. gaze vorward.
2) KAKASANA - CROW - KRÄHE
arms are bent, knees onto your arms OR into your armpids, and although here: pelvic floor activated, pelvis tucked in and navel pulls in and up - what i dont do here, because i try to lower my butt, what takes all my focus, haha. gaze vorward.
